Synopsis

“In a survey conducted by the payments giant VISA, a quarter of the surveyed small businesses across 9 countries are planning to accept crypto as payment showing increasing trust in the crypto sphere across the world.”

VISA on Wednesday published a report on digital payments that highlighted the results of a survey conducted by the payments giant across 9 countries including Brazil, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Russia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and the U.S. About 2,250 small business owners with less than 100 employees were surveyed and a quarter of those were found to be planning to accept crypto payments for their goods and services. In this regard an executive from VISA said “I think more people are feeling more confident with crypto”.

VISA claimed: “An overwhelming 82% of SMBs surveyed said they plan to accept some form of digital option in 2022 and 73% see accepting new forms of payments as fundamental to their business growth”. The survey clearly indicates that people are now getting more confident about crypto with its wide adoption and companies like VISA providing crypto services.

VISA is pushing its vision of accepting digital payments and especially crypto to its platform as it has partnered with over 60 cryptocurrency platforms to enable people to spend crypto at more than 80 Million merchants worldwide. VISA has also launched a crypto advisory service to educate businesses about digital payments and how they can be incorporated into business through the VISA platform.
