The CEO and co-founder of Blueprint Capital Advisors, Jacob Walthour said in an interview with CNBC today that “It will be a mistake if we don’t consider crypto as an asset class as it is going to outperform equities in the coming 5 to 10 years”. Jacob emphasized on the increased adoption of crypto by various companies dealing in finance as well as other sectors. He added: “But if we see a stall in the U.S. equity market and a rise in crypto, I think the herd mentality could take over here, and you could see a lot of liquidity falling out of stocks into cryptocurrencies.”
Jacob also emphasized on legitimizing crypto as an asset if it outperforms equity as it can provide a good option for diversifying the portfolio of an investor. According to him, the crypto has been known as a concept of the Wild West in the previous decade, it will be seen as an opportunity in the next.
