AMC Theatre’s CEO Confirms, Company on Track to Accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu as Payment Methods in Q1

“The CEO of AMC Theatres, world’s largest movie exhibition company announced that his company is well on track to accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu as payment methods in the first quarter of 2022.”

Adam Aaron, the CEO of AMC Theatres providing an update on his companies endeavor to accept cryptocurrencies as payment options by saying in a tweet that “I have been repeatedly asked when AMC expects to routinely accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu for any and all payments made via the AMC website and mobile app. I am being told that we are still well on track for the promised Q1 implementation, with exact timing most likely in March.”

The AMC Theatres is the largest movie exhibition company in the world with approximately 950 theatres and more than 10,500 screens globally. Back in November last year the company announced that it is going to accept Doge and SHIB as a payment method for services at its theatre using BItPay in the first quarter of 2022. That time Bitpay was not having Shiba Inu listed on their platform and according to AMC Theatres, it was listed as per their request on BitPay.

The tweet came as a confirmation that the company is on track with their previous announcement and the payment methods will be available by March this year.
