With the help of Avalanche, Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of the Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba, has built a platform for businesses to deploy blockchain-based metaverses.
Cloudverse is a platform that allows companies to create, launch, and maintain their metaverse spaces easily, thereby increasing customer engagement. Avalanche is the blockchain technology that underpins Cloudverse’s wearables and digital land platforms.
In addition to scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, Alibaba Cloud will offer solutions for building metaverse spaces through Avalanche, together with MUA DAO.
Many Asia-Pacific businesses have sought entry into the Web3 space because of the rise of blockchain technology and the metaverse’s increasing popularity, according to Raymond Xiao, Head of International Web3 Solutions at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence.
In addition, Xiao said that launching the metaverse launchpad on Avalanche for CloudVerse offered businesses an exciting opportunity to kickstart their metaverse journeys, innovate, and enhance customer experiences.
It was announced in December 2022 that Alibaba Cloud and Avalanche would integrate to power the latter’s Node-as-a-Service initiatives. Around that time, the Chinese conglomerate’s cloud computing branch started offering the necessary resources to enable users in Asia to launch validators on the network.
The growth of Alibaba Cloud in the web3 sector
As Alibaba Cloud grows its Web3 presence, the business has announced ambitions to speed the development of a more inclusive and secure contemporary internet powered by blockchain technology. Last month, the company announced a collaboration with Elastos, a layer-one blockchain technology, to create and deploy next-generation solutions.
Alibaba Cloud and Sui blockchain startup Mysten Labs inked a memorandum of collaboration in January to construct sustainable Web3 ecosystems.
